Personal lines Agents are to assist with all needs of our Personal lines customers.  Personal Insurance Agents are expected to provide an extraordinary customer experience through a relationship driven, consultive sales approach. Expectations Represent MMIA in a courteous and professional manner, provide an extraordinary customer experience through a relationship driven, consultive sales approach. Knowledge of MMIA’s Insurance Carrier’s products and services and ability to recommend and train/educate customers on solutions that fit their need. Focus on and meet individual and team goals, including training, sales, and customer relationship initiatives Comply with all Insurance policies/procedures and all applicable federal and state laws and regulation Essential Duties Perform relationship, sales, product, educating, service initiating tasks, such as: Complete applications and rate risks for new & renewal business Provide complete and accurate submissions to our carriers. Solicit coverage for lines of business not carried by the agency Take claim reports and submit to carrier Prior to renewal, prepare key accounts for review: assemble, update entire file and account info. Prepare recommendations for upgrades in coverages Process endorsements and cancellations Referrals for loans, deposit, trust, and merchant services Ensuring Agency management system contains accurate and up to date policy and client information. Accept customer payments according to agency procedure Assist Customers with transaction based requests, such as: Assist Customers with routine account-related requests/inquiries such as: Providing auto insurance id cards Inquiries about premium due Inquiries about coverage Respond to third party requests relating to the client’s policy Perform customer requested research. Comply with security procedures established to ensure safety for employees and customers, to safeguard cash supplies, to protect the privacy of customer account information, as well as, follow fraud prevention guidelines established to protect the Bank/Agency from unnecessary losses Other duties as assigned QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Maintain friendliness and professionalism through the proper use of tact & diplomacy when dealing with customers at all times Display a positive attitude and enjoy working with the public Strong verbal communication skills Strong mathematical skills along with accuracy Detail oriented Possess a great sense of organization, priority and time management Ability to work well under pressure Ability to identify, research and problem solve on a critical level and think on your feet Ability to be flexible and to multi-task on a regular basis Ability to work in a fast paced environment Strong knowledge of insurance products/services & regulations Strong technical knowledge of insurance policy language Strong technology skills and knowledge Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion Able to travel as needed
