Experienced Cake Decorator - St. Louis City Locations

Candidate must have prior cake decorating experience in order to be consider for this position.

Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a passion for cake decoration and baking and enjoy working as part of a team. Responsibilities:
• Providing incredible customer service by engaging customers in conversation using effective communication skills such as direct eye contact and a smile to build a rapport based on trust and satisfaction
• Assisting customers with product selections, creative themes and designs and suggestive selling

• Decorating cakes with roses, decorative borders, flowers and balloons
• Operating microwave, bread slicer, ovens and proof boxes
• Preparing breads, cakes, donuts and other pastries, including icings and frostings according to established recipes
• Packaging fresh-baked products
• Constantly clean work area and equipment following company safety and sanitation procedures
• Other duties will be assigned at the discretion of the store management
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year experience cake decorating preferred

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates:

• Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
