Tractor/Flatbed Driver

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Tractor/Flatbed Driver to join our Richmond Hill, GA team, responsible for transporting finished precast goods and equipment efficiently and securely. What You'll Do:

• Safely operate a tractor with a flatbed trailer to transport finished precast products to customers within designated timeframes.
• Transport heavy equipment to and from job sites as needed, ensuring secure and proper handling.
• Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions with precision and safety.
• Perform all duties in compliance with company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Follow all company policies and operational guidelines consistently.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding schedules and any issues encountered during transportation.

Requirements

• Minimum of valid and current GA Driver’s License required.
• Clean driving record with no recent moving or driving violations.
• Prior experience operating a tractor with flatbed trailer preferred but not required.
• Current, up-to-date medical certification.
• Ability to accurately record mileage and hours driven.
• Ability to work a variable-hour schedule.
• Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to be self-motivated and an effective team player.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, type, carry, kneel, ascend and descent stairs, and bend. 
• Ability to complete truck inspections.
• Ability to work primarily indoors with occasional work outdoors in multiple types of weather / environmental conditions.
