Part-Time Payroll Clerk

Position Summary
ExperCARE Health is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and highly organized Part-Time Payroll Clerk to join our Accounting team. As ExperCARE continues to grow across Georgia and Alabama, this role will provide critical support in ensuring our team members are paid accurately and on time.
Working closely with the Controller, Accounting, Human Resources, and clinic leadership, the Payroll Clerk will assist with payroll processing, employee timekeeping, payroll changes, reconciliations, and payroll-related questions. This individual will play an important role in identifying discrepancies, coordinating corrections, and maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and processing of regular payroll cycles using ADP.
Review employee timecards for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate approvals prior to payroll processing.
Identify missing punches, unapproved timecards, overtime discrepancies, and other timekeeping exceptions, and work with clinic leaders and managers to ensure timely corrections.
Enter and verify payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, deductions, and other payroll changes.
Review new hires, terminations, compensation changes, transfers, and employee status changes to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records within ADP.
Assist with tracking and verifying PTO and other paid leave balances.
Respond professionally and promptly to employee and leader questions regarding paychecks, deductions, timekeeping, and other payroll-related matters.
Perform pre- and post-payroll reconciliations to identify discrepancies and support payroll accuracy.
Assist with reviewing payroll registers and supporting documentation prior to final approval.
Maintain organized payroll documentation and records in accordance with ExperCARE policies and applicable record-retention requirements.
Assist with garnishments, levies, and other required payroll deductions as needed.
Support quarter-end and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 review and reconciliation.
Assist the Accounting team with payroll-related journal entry support, reconciliations, reporting, and other financial processes as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee compensation, banking, tax, and other sensitive information.
Support payroll audits and special payroll or Accounting projects as assigned.
Partner with Human Resources, Accounting, and operational leaders to resolve payroll issues efficiently while providing a positive internal customer experience.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
1–3 years of payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or related administrative experience preferred.
Experience with ADP strongly preferred.
Experience reviewing employee timekeeping and payroll records preferred.
Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy.
Ability to identify discrepancies, research issues, and independently follow through until resolution.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet strict payroll deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with team members and leaders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing, multi-location organization.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support Accounting, Human Resources, and operational teams as needed.

Schedule
This is a part-time position expected to work approximately 20–25 hours per week. The schedule may fluctuate based on payroll processing deadlines and organizational needs. Availability during critical payroll processing periods is required.
Compensation
$22.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on payroll experience, ADP proficiency, and overall qualifications.
