Job Title: Surgical Services – Surgical Technician 1st Assistant

Full Time First Shift

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the OR Clinical Manager, OR Charge Nurse, and/or the Director of Surgical Services, functions as a member of the surgical services team.

Job Description:

• Creates and maintains a sterile field
• Performs routine duties of preparing for procedures in both operating and endoscopy suites.
• Provides the required instruments and supplies, assists surgeons, and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team in caring for surgical services patients.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
• Certified surgical technologist (CST) preferred
• One-year perioperative services experience preferred
• Prior experience in SPD preferred, but not required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
