Truck Driver

Pay Range: $32 to $35 per hour

Position Summary:

Transports scrap material via commercial roll off or end dump tractor/trailer from customer locations or other Sims yards to designated locations per dispatch.

Job Duties:

• Prepare receipts/shipping reports for all loads picked up.
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintain hands-free telephone contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Transport material to and from assigned locations via roll off or end dump.
• Load and unload truck with forklift.
• Inspects truck equipment daily and truck supplies such as, but not limited to tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water, DEF etc.
• Properly secure load with blocks, dunnage, tarps and/or ties and straps.
• Help identify materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe truck cab.
• Adhere to FMCSA regulations.
• Other duties as assigned including yard duties. 

 Qualifications:

• Valid Class A driver’s license
• No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
• No DWI/DUI in last 10 years
• 2+ years’ commercial driving experience required
• Forklift certified preferred
• Flatbed experience
• Roll off experience
• High school diploma/GED required
• Must pass 7-year criminal background check, DOT physical, and drug/alcohol screen
