Description

Summary:

CSC Leasing is an organization of innovators dedicated to meeting the equipment financing needs of companies across the United States. Founded in 1986, CSC Leasing is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, and has regional offices covering the needs of clients on the East and West Coasts. From Fortune 500 companies to start-up businesses, CSC has developed a reputation as a relationship-oriented, community-centric, and hyper-responsive leasing company. CSC has experienced tremendous growth over the past 10-years and continues to focus on expanding this success into the future.

CSC maintains a strong track record working with companies across all growth stages — from early-stage venture-backed startups building genuinely groundbreaking technology to private equity-sponsored middle-market companies scaling proven businesses. Our clients are doing compelling things: launching autonomous robots, manufacturing components for the defense and space industries, commercializing next-generation life sciences technologies, and pushing the boundaries of advanced manufacturing. What they have in common is a need for capital-efficient financing that lets them grow without giving up equity or taking on restrictive terms. CSC provides non-dilutive equipment financing that preserves runway and keeps capital working where it belongs — in the business.

About the Role:

The Account Executive is the engine that moves clients from signed term sheet through to fully funded leases. AEs own the post-term-sheet experience — they’re the people the client interacts with once the deal is real, working cross-departmentally and quarterbacking clients throughout the process. Integral to our client-experience, AEs make sure nothing slips between the cracks once we have a “yes.”

CSC is building out a long-term AE function as a core capability of the Sales organization. The AE is a respected and critical member of the team — supporting our Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, and Associates across the entire originations group.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

Post-Term-Sheet Deal Execution

The Account Executive owns what happens after a client executes a term-sheet. Your job is to make sure deals close cleanly, on time, and with the highest possible utilization on signed term sheets. This includes:

• Quarterbacking the client experience — serving as the primary internal point of accountability for the client from the moment a term sheet is signed through onboarding, documentation, and full lease commencement; managing client expectations and ensuring a seamless handoff from the producer who originated the deal

• Driving utilization on signed term sheets — working closely with clients to convert approved facilities into actual leases; following up on equipment ordering cadence, financing submissions, and outstanding usage; identifying and addressing utilization shortfalls before they become problems

• Managing diligence and credit handoffs — collecting outstanding diligence items required for closing; coordinating with the credit team on any open items; ensuring all approvals are in place before documentation begins

• Coordinating documentation and execution — working with internal legal counsel to draft, refine, and execute onboarding documents, including master lease agreements, lease schedules, and ancillary documentation

Cross-Functional Coordination

The Account Executive sits at the intersection of Sales, Credit, Legal, Operations, and Finance. You are the connective tissue inside CSC:

• Internal coordination — acting as the primary point of coordination between senior team members and CSC’s Credit & Investments (C&I) team, Operations, Legal, and Finance for every active closing

• Unblocking deal-stage issues in real time — knowing who to call, what the holdup is, and how to move things forward when a deal hits friction

• Sales and Investment Committee participation — attending and contributing in Sales Committee and Investment Committee meetings for deals you are stewarding, developing firsthand understanding of how CSC evaluates, structures, and supports transactions through close

• Continuous process improvement — you see every deal move through the funnel; spot where the process breaks; propose fixes and lead the implementation in partnership with operations leadership

Pipeline & Account Management

The Account Executive is responsible for the health and accuracy of the post-term-sheet pipeline across the originations team. This includes:

• Pipeline visibility — maintaining real-time accuracy on every signed term sheet in your coverage: stage, utilization to date, projected closings, and risks to timeline; providing weekly updates to the CRO and senior producers

• Forecasting and reporting — owning weekly and monthly reporting on closing cadence, utilization trends, and pipeline conversion and driving hygiene standards across the team — partnering with the CRO and senior producers to maintain data integrity and forecast accuracy

• Account-level relationship maintenance — staying close to active accounts throughout the funding cycle; identifying expansion opportunities, refinancing windows, and follow-on capital needs through regular client engagement

• Onboarding new clients — leading the full onboarding process for net-new accounts; setting expectations, walking through the CSC process, and establishing the working cadence between CSC and the client’s finance team

Ideal Candidate Profile:

You’ll thrive in this role if you are:

• An owner, not a passer. You take problems and resolve them. You don’t escalate without a recommendation. You don’t let things sit.

• Operationally disciplined. You like systems, processes, and clean data. Spreadsheets and CRMs don’t intimidate you; they’re how you work.

• High-EQ across functions. You can hold a credit team member, a senior producer, and a CFO-level client all in the same conversation and meet each of them where they are.

• Comfortable with complexity. Equipment leasing involves multiple legal entities, asset classes, payment structures, and stakeholders. You don’t need everything to be simple to make progress.

• Quietly competitive. You’re motivated by results, not titles. You care more about closing the deal well than about who gets credit.

• A team-first operator. The one-team structure we operate under requires people who genuinely want to help others win.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience; backgrounds in commercial banking, equipment finance, deal desk, sales operations, investment banking, or operations-heavy commercial roles are particularly relevant

• Proven experience in a client-facing, sales support, or operations capacity with demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and build relationships with sophisticated counterparties

• Strong working proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data modeling

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• In-office role at our Richmond, VA headquarters. Remote work is not available.
