The Assistant Manager assists in guiding and developing a team of retail professionals, supporting the execution of the company’s sales approach, and meeting key performance goals while adhering to company policies and operational procedures. Assist in hiring, training, and retaining a high-quality team of enthusiastic associates. Coach the team using the company’s selling skills model and drive action to improve results. Use performance metrics to guide the team and foster a world-class selling environment. Leverage company resources to keep associates updated on product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational efficiency. Support the management team in upholding the highest ethical standards and ensure they are maintained throughout the store. Ensure associates have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs effectively. Lead weekly meetings focused on improving product knowledge, customer satisfaction, and overall performance. Provide coaching and feedback to team members based on results and performance. Analyze business trends, help develop strategies and implement plans to maximize sales and achieve goals. Ensure store displays and signage are appropriate and engaging for customers. Actively monitor performance issues and assist with recruiting management and sales associates. Ensure adherence to security protocols and confidentiality standards. QualificationsPosition Requirements: 3+ years Retail or Sales Management A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related areas is preferable. Prior experience successfully managing a team of 15 or more associates is required. Proven track record of meeting financial objectives Ability to execute plans and strategies. Ability to positively lead, mentor and drive a successful sales team Experience in a commissioned sales environment preferred. Proven track record of customer service excellence Goal oriented – Energetically focuses efforts on meeting goals, mission, or objective.
