Job DetailsJob Location: Richmond - Richmond, VA 23223 Rite Rug has been one of the top privately owned flooring companies for over 90 years!  We are looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team!     Starting at $20 to $22 an hour, pay based on experience.    Job Description:   We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and hard working individual who has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Warehouse department.   Job Responsibilities: Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services; supervising staff.   Job Duties: • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel procedures • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. .• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees in absence of warehouse manager; following up on work results. • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.   Assistant Warehouse Manager Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 4 Plus years of experience, Supervision, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Equipment Maintenance, Good judgment Qualifications
