Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Treatment Director (LCSW) who places trauma informed care at the center of their practice and is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of youth in foster care. This role is ideal for a clinician who understands the profound impact of trauma, loss, and disrupted attachment, and who is dedicated to creating environments that promote safety, trust, healing, and resilience.The Assistant Treatment Director will provide compassionate clinical leadership, therapeutic oversight, and direct support to children and families navigating complex emotional and behavioral needs. The ideal candidate approaches care through a trauma responsive, strengths based lens, prioritizing relationship building, emotional regulation, and culturally responsive practices that honor each child’s experiences and voice.In this role, you will help guide a team in implementing trauma informed practices that foster stability, empowerment, and long-term wellbeing for youth and caregivers. Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions to clients as decided by the treatment plan and document the sessions
  • Develop psychotherapy plans with goals and objectives
  • Serve as a member of the treatment team
  • Provide consultative Services to team members, when appropriate
  • Serve as a liaison between Community Youth Services and the biological families of our clients and when appropriate, provide family counseling sessions to the biological family and clients
  • When necessary serve as a liaison between Community Youth Services and other community based treatment professionals
  • Abide by company policy when receiving a subpoena for records and/or court appearances
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Other job related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A Master’s Degree in a Human Services field
  • Within two years of October 17, 2007, have at least five years of experience in mental health treatment of children with emotional or behavioral disabilities and their families
  • The employee should have a working knowledge and understanding of culture and its function in human behavior and society
  • The employee shall deliver services that are sensitive to client’s cultures
  • The employee shall demonstrate the ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families in which they are helped to gain the skills and confidence to address any issues and problems they face
  • Ability to set limits and maintain the helping role and to intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the person(s) served or other family
