We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a Skilled Nursing Facility in Richmond. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support patients in regaining independence with daily living activities following illness, injury, or surgery. You will primarily work with a geriatric and post-acute population, helping improve functional ability and overall quality of life. Job Responsibilities:
• Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Guide patients through therapeutic activities focused on improving daily living skills
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and proper use of equipment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards




Requirements

• Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in California
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Minimum of 6 months of recent COTA experience within the last 5 years preferred
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
