Job Summary

Class A drivers transport construction and demolition debris from demolition sites to landfills and recycling centers. The Class A truck driver will maintain a clean truck, interact well with others, provide quality customer service and follow safety policies and procedures. The driver should have the ability to maintain records, communicate well with others and will possess good organization skills.

Job Requirements

  • 1 year of experience as a Class A Commercial Truck Driver
  • Ability to operate manual transmission.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding routes and responsibilities.

Job responsibilities

  • Transporting construction and/or demolition debris to and from various locations.
  • Transport equipment and machinery to job sites.
  • Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.
  • Ensuring that the materials are loaded correctly onto the trailer.
  • Perform a thorough vehicle inspection prior to start of shift.
  • Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries or mechanical faults to management.
  • Maintaining accurate driver logs.
  • Complying with all safety rules and regulations.

Physical Demands

  • Hooking up and disengaging trailer and roll off dumpsters.
  • Opening and closing large trailer doors.
  • Maneuvering through landfills and job sites.
  • Climbing in and out of large trucks.
