Skillforce is hiring Commercial Electricians for ongoing project work in Richmond, Virginia. As a Commercial Electrician, you will be responsible for conduit, wire, panels, and troubleshooting on active commercial construction sites including schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings. You will work directly for established commercial electrical contractors on first shift with consistent hours and weekly pay. Commercial Electrician Pay:

  • $28.00 to $32.00 per hour based on your experience level.
  • W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.

Commercial Electrician Schedule:

  • First shift, full time, with ongoing project work.
  • Occasional overtime is available when projects call for it.
  • Steady schedule on commercial sites across the Richmond metro.

Commercial Electrician Responsibilities:

  • Bend, mount, and install conduit from prints on active commercial sites.
  • Pull wire and install cable tray, strut, and supports.
  • Set panels, gear, devices, and fixtures to plan.
  • Land terminations and make up connections.
  • Troubleshoot commercial circuits and correct issues on site.
  • Work alongside general contractors, supervisors, and other trades on schools, hospitals, and office and retail buildouts.

Commercial Electrician Qualifications:

  • You have two or more years of commercial electrical experience.
  • You can read blueprints and work independently from prints.
  • You own a standard set of electrician hand tools.
  • You can pass a drug screen and background check.
  • You are authorized to work in the United States.
  • Commercial fit-out or new construction experience is a plus.
  • A Virginia journeyman electrician license is preferred but not required.
