Data Scientist

MARKETview Education Partners is seeking bright, talented, and motivated applicants for a data science / machine learning role on our data and analytics team. The data scientist will join an established data science team and will be a critical contributor to a fast-growing, early-stage education technology business. This role has the added benefit of supporting a team of experienced higher education enrollment professionals who leverage a unique database, and where the business is making a substantial investment in artificial intelligence.

This role will serve colleges and universities with modeling, analysis, and forecasting that help institutions better understand their position and control their destiny in a rapidly changing nonprofit higher education marketplace.

Responsibilities:
• Learn to operate and maintain internal packages, modeling pipelines, and general data science infrastructure / products.
• Create, deliver, interpret, and diagnose predictive models for external clients. Talk through implications of modeling output and proposed actions with internal teams.
• Participate in road-mapping machine learning workflows, developing applications and planning development sprints.
• Develop AI agents that diagnose, interpret, and generate recommendations from data and machine learning systems.
• Relays insights to non-technical members of the team to inform business decisions and investment.

Minimum Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in SQL and Python.
• Knowledge of LLM’s and the use of LLM’s as coding assistants.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in data science, statistics, computational mathematics, or adjacent disciplines.
• Work experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and/or machine learning.
• Experience with a cloud-based environment (Azure / Databricks preferred).
• Demonstrated competence in developing AI agents.
