Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and input data into estimating software. Collaborate with estimators and project managers to clarify scope, resolve discrepancies, and confirm assumptions. Maintain organized records of takeoff data and revisions throughout the bid cycle. Assist with vendor and subcontractor outreach as needed for material pricing. Support continuous improvement in takeoff processes, templates, and tools. Participate in pre-bid meetings and internal reviews to provide technical input. Stay current with industry standards, materials, and installation methods specific to assigned trade. QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring: Required: Minimum 3–5 years of field experience in Mechanical Piping (Hydronic or Steam Systems) Strong understanding of trade-specific systems, materials, and installation practices. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, PDF markup tools, and/or estimating software). High attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities   Preferred: Experience with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, QuoteSoft, FastEST, or similar). Prior experience in an estimating or preconstruction support role. Technical training, apprenticeship completion, or trade certification.
