Bingham Arbitrage Rebate Services, a privately held, Richmond-based, boutique financial services firm is seeking a financial analyst to work with established clients and government entities. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity, we hope you will consider this position. You will work with a team of skilled finance professionals offering a niche service to Issuers of tax-exempt debt.

The ideal candidate can be a recent college graduate or will have some experience (1+ year) working in a business office environment and in a role using independent judgment, financial document review and strong math skills. Career changers are also encouraged to apply. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a business field is strongly preferred. Some knowledge of tax-exempt bonds, financials, arbitrage rebate and IRS tax law and compliance will enable you to evaluate, assess, calculate and review account reporting on a mandated schedule for our clients. Our best candidates are inclined toward disciplined analysis skills and the ability to understand complex accounting transactions. Basic knowledge of federal securities and other investments (US Treasuries, Government Agencies, Certificates of Deposit, etc.) will help during the extensive detailed training period we offer.

Professionalism, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, attention to detail, reliability and dependability are required. Proficient progressive computer skills, MS Office and excel experience strongly recommended. Must have the desire and the ability to work in a team centric work environment. External resources engaged on a regular basis while working in this role will be bond attorneys, trust departments, banks and government officials. This is an entry level role with the ability to advance while gaining new skills and expertise.

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Work Schedule: Full time salaried, Monday through Friday of each week; On-site during the training period and variable hybrid work schedule thereafter

Compensation/Benefits: Competitive salary; discretionary bonus and benefit eligible

Base Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 annually
