Summary The Material Handler, Furniture & Accessories position is responsible for accurately selecting, inspecting, preparing, and packing furniture and accessory products for customer orders. This role plays an important part in ensuring orders are fulfilled efficiently, accurately, and according to established company procedures and quality standards. The Material Handler carefully follows order documentation and product information to identify and select the correct items for shipment while maintaining accuracy and meeting fulfillment timelines. Prior to packing, products are inspected for visible damage, defects, or other quality concerns to ensure they meet company standards. Description Accurately pick, prepare, and pack customer orders by reviewing pick lists and selecting the correct furniture and accessory products for shipment Complete orders efficiently and within established timelines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the fulfillment process Inspect products prior to packing for visible damage, defects, or other quality concerns to ensure products meet company quality standards before shipment Safely assist with loading and unloading trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved material-handling equipment, as authorized and trained Prepare, verify, and securely attach shipping and product labels, double-checking order and shipment information to help prevent fulfillment errors Properly handle, move, stage, and organize furniture and accessories to help prevent product damage and support an efficient flow of materials throughout the warehouse Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including keeping workstations, aisles, staging areas, and packing areas free of unnecessary materials and hazards Follow all established company safety procedures, quality standards, warehouse practices, and equipment operating requirements at all times Communicate product discrepancies, damages, inventory concerns, or other fulfillment issues to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner Work collaboratively with warehouse and fulfillment team members to support daily shipping goals, operational priorities, and customer service expectations Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business and operational needs Key Qualifications One or more years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, or similar environment is preferred Ability to work the required schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility to work additional hours or overtime based on business needs, as applicable High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to accurately complete order-related tasks and documentation Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and safety-related directions in English as required to perform the essential functions of the position safely and effectively Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment Strong reliability, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize assigned tasks and meet daily operational expectations Physical Requirements Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying noise levels and Walk approximately up to 10k steps per day Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities Ability to climb stairs Pay & Benefits Pay Range: $22.00-$24.00 per hour Competitive Paid Time Off A flexible health plan offering medical, dental, and vision benefits Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Health Savings Account 401(k) Savings Plan Profit Sharing Benefits Generous Employee Discount   Qualifications
