As a Package Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth transportation and shipment of materials, while maintaining compliance with shipping regulations and supporting our operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Packaging: Down pack and pull sample requests. Package and ship samples.
  • Communication: Maintain consistent communication with the Sample Coordinator and internal teams. Effectively communicate with external partners regarding shipment status and special requirements.
  • Transportation: Transport raw materials and finished goods between sites using the company box truck. Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely transportation. Monitor and track shipments to address any issues or delays.
  • Paperwork: Process paperwork for shipments, including preparing shipping labels and documentation. Send appropriate paperwork to customer service as required.
  • Inventory Management: Use SAP inventory management tools to place transferred inventory in appropriate locations. Maintain accurate inventory of sample stock.
  • Compliance: Obtain and maintain DOT and RCRA Hazardous shipment and waste training. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, including hazardous materials handling.
  • Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area. Consolidate pallets and move waste from the warehouse to dumpsters.
  • Additional Tasks: Assist with other warehouse tasks and projects as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant shipping-related experience preferred. Forklift and box truck experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong ability to work independently, intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics), and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Licensing: Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
