The Paralegal 1 will support attorneys with legal research, litigation, workplace investigations, legislative and regulatory tracking, and client communications.
Essential Functions
- Drafting research memoranda and factual summaries.
- Assisting with client alerts, blog posts, and legislative and regulatory updates.
- Supporting workplace investigations and analyzing related documentation.
- Assisting with the preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
- Attending and supporting arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and hearings.
- Cite-checking and proofreading legal documents.
- Coordinating case organization, document management, and filing deadlines.
- Supporting firm initiatives such as DEI programs, business development activities, recruiting, and community engagement efforts.
Wage Transparency
In accordance with the Virginia HB 636/SB 215 law, the expected salary range for this Virginia position is between $50,490 - $65,000.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.Â
