Description

Virginia Physicians for Women is looking for a new member to join the practice with the ability to float at any time between our Southside office locations (this includes Koger, St. Francis and Prince George). We are looking for someone who possesses excellent customer service skills, strong work ethic and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

Position Responsibilities:

  • Complete all functions of patient admission and check out
  • Understand and communicate the financial policies of VPFW
  • Explaining payment plan arrangements with patients
  • Collecting copayments and balances
  • Manage and resolve patient payment concerns or questions
  • Collect and coordinate patient insurance policies
  • Schedule appointments to accommodate physicians across multiple offices
  • Provide front desk coverage across any Southside office location as needed by request of supervisor/ upper management
  • Regular and predictable attendance

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to establish and maintain long-term patient relationships
  • Demonstrate good judgment in handling situations not covered by written or verbal instruction and seek guidance as needed
  • Perform work within appropriate time frame, accurately and in a timely manner in periods of increased work load and high stress
  • Ability to solve patient problems, treat patients with dignity and respect and respond quickly to patient needs

Education and Experience:

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Prior medical office experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
