PRODUCTION SPICE - MATERIAL HANDLER ASSOCIATE
Job Summary:
The Material Handler will transport required packaging to and from production lines and warehouse areas using a pallet jack. Will also be responsible to dump product components into feed hoppers, hang supersacks and use the RF Scanner to make product transfers.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Continuously and repeatedly load packaging and raw materials.
- Make product changeover and clean equipment in use.
- Understand scheduling and can adequately perform in the absence of the crew leader.
- Ability to learn and use the RF Scanner and computer system to record production and inventory transfers.
- Be responsible for the quality and quantity of production daily.
- Navigate computer system to locate items and locations and to pull item(s) as required.
- Follow detailed procedures and complete paperwork accurately to ensure safe, consistent, and quality product.
- Accurately complete lot production form
- Actively promote safety and identify unsafe actions and conditions. Â
- Replenish production line(s) by operating a forklift, sac hoist and /or pallet jack in a safe manner. Â
- Know basic math and mathematically calculate production used in production quantities.
- Ability to learn and understand People Soft
- Ability to accurately add and subtract.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Lead.

- Document lots accurately
- Accurate reading of production paperwork/dispatch sheet
- Ability to accurately locate, transfer, measure, weigh ingredients as well as slot materials
- Perform numerical calculations accurately
- Proficient understanding of computer system
- Timely transport of production packaging and materials to production lines
- Ability to accurately add and subtract

- Ability to frequently walk throughout the production area and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, packaging, and product components repeatedly up to 30lbs unassisted during the workday.
- Ability to safely operate or maneuver pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists, and related material-handling equipment as required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving equipment.
- Ability to use hands and arms for grasping, handling, scanning, and completing paperwork.
- Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalency
1-2 years of experience in a related field
