Job DetailsJob Location: Emerald Isle Foods LLC - Richmond, VA 23234Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/yearPosition Summary We are seeking a hands-on Precut Supervisor to lead daily operations within our fresh produce processing area. This role is responsible for supervising the cleaning, preparation, and packaging of fruits and vegetables while ensuring strict adherence to food safety, quality, sanitation, and productivity standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive floor leader who thrives in a fast-paced food production environment and can drive team accountability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Supervise daily, weekly, and monthly precut/processing operations Manage production output to meet customer demand and service levels Ensure proper preparation, cutting, and packaging of fruits and vegetables Maintain product specifications and minimize shrink/waste Adjust staffing and workflow to meet changing production volume Food Safety, Quality & Sanitation Enforce GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards always Maintain cleanliness and organization of the processing area Ensure facility, equipment, and work areas meet quality expectations Monitor audit readiness and compliance with company standard Team Leadership Train, coach, and hold processing staff accountable for performance Provide daily directions and feedback to production employees Address performance or attendance issues promptly and professionally Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwor Equipment & Process Management Monitor processing equipment and escalate maintenance issues Implement and manage new procedures within the processing area Complete required production and quality documentation Monitor and respond to company email communication Continuous Improvement Support product development initiatives Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow Partner with leadership on ongoing process improvement Work Environment & Physical Requirements Continuous standing for extended periods Frequent stooping and bending required Frequent lifting/carrying of boxed or bagged produce Work in 45°F refrigerated processing environment for 8–10 hours daily Work in damp/wet conditions for extended periods QualificationsMinimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent OR 4 years relevant experience 2+ years in a supervisory role 4+ years in food processing or fresh produce environment Experience managing production teams and output Basic WMS/computer skills Proficiency with Outlook email Understanding of GMP and food safety practices Knowledge of produce processing procedures   Core Skills Ability to lead and motivate production teams Strong attention to detail and quality focus Ability to manage production levels with minimal supervision Strong commitment to food safety and compliance Ability to maintain proper inventory par level Preferred Qualifications Advanced experience in fresh-cut produce or food manufacturing Stronger proficiency in WMS or production systems Demonstrated success driving productivity improvements Bilingual Spanish a plus
