This position is directly responsible for aiding the Controller in accurate and timely financial information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Generate and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and/or review manual and automated journal entries
- Oversee Fixed Assets Accounting, ensuring accurate recording, tracking and reconciliation
- Work directly with Controller and upper management on financial projects and ad hoc tasks.
- Collaborate with External auditors during audit process.
- Assist in ASC 842 lease accounting maintenance and reporting
- Conduct detailed reviews of balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform additional accounting-related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Strong GAAP accounting knowledge
- Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and communication
- Strong ability to adapt and willing to take on new projects.
Physical Requirement:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 1-3 years accounting work experience
- CPA preferred
- Public Accounting experience preferred
