Â
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of structures to ensure they are safe, sustainable, and cost-effective. This includes buildings, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure. The Structural Engineer will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality projects.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:  Â
- Design and Analysis:Â
- Perform calculations to ensure structures can withstand various loads and forces and stamp our own drawingsÂ
- Analyze building materials for strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.Â
- Work with design engineers to produce standard designsÂ
- Project Management:Â
- Be the single point of contact for all design engineers sending work out to multiple structural consultants. Â
- Manage the workload to structural consultants with quickest turnaround in mindÂ
- Participate in meetings with structural consultants to ensure that they have all necessary inputs and produce a high-quality stamped drawing Â
- Manage project timelines and budgets relative to structural analysisÂ
- Support questions coming from construction site related to structural analysis  Â
3.Compliance and Standards:Â
- Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
4.Problem Solving:Â
- Identify and resolve design and construction issues.Â
- Provide technical advice and support during construction phases.Â
5.Documentation and Reporting:Â
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and other documentation.Â
- Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progressÂ
- Coaching new engineers in making cost effective and easy to manufacture designsÂ
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field. Master's degree is a plus. Â
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in structural engineering or related field.Â
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and other engineering design tools.Â
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.Â
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Â
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Â
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.Â
