What you will do in this role: 

  • Identifies vendor needs for all departments in hospital.  Consults orders both medical and office supplies as needed. 

  • Also, returns all unused or missed ordered supplies to vendor in a timely fashion 

  • Assists Leadership with vendor strategy and clear line of execution. 

  • Guides team with organization and keeping vendor information up to date.

  • Maintains and organizes all medical supply and office storage processes and standards. 

  • Communicates with Leadership to ensure vendor transactions are sufficient.  Will also keep Leadership informed of any special inventory needs 

  • Coordinates teams to process purchase orders and packing slips for timely and accurate payment processing 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors required.  Masters preferred 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing preferred 

  • Minimum of 1 year of consultant experience

  • Must be able to deal tactfully with co-workers, physicians and patients 

  • Good Communication and organizational skills 

  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
