Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler/Driver
Department: Logistics/Warehousing
Reports To: Warehouse Manager/Supervisor

Job Summary: The Warehouse Material Handler/Driver is responsible for managing and transporting materials within the warehouse and between locations. This role involves handling, storing, and moving products efficiently and safely, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Material Handling:
  1. Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments.
  2. Store products in designated areas according to company procedures.
  3. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment based on customer requirements.
  4. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  1. Driving and Delivery:
  1. Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to and from various locations.
  2. Follow delivery schedules and maintain accurate delivery records.
  3. Ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and report any issues promptly.
  4. Verify the accuracy of deliveries by checking items against shipping documents.
  1. Inventory Management: 
  1. Conduct regular inventory counts and update stock records.
  2. Report discrepancies or inventory shortages to the Operations Manager.
  3. Assist in organizing and maintaining warehouse layout for efficient operation.
  1. Safety and Compliance:
  1. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while handling materials and operating vehicles.
  2. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for transportation and warehousing.
  1. Customer Service:
  1. Interact professionally with customers and provide excellent service during deliveries.
  2. Address and resolve any delivery or order-related issues in a timely manner.
  1. Administrative Duties:
  1. Complete necessary paperwork related to shipments, inventory, and vehicle maintenance.
  2. Maintain accurate records of all warehouse and driving activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or delivery driving preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (Forklift Certification preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Requires lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items.
  • May involve standing, walking, and driving for extended periods.
