About the Role:Â As a part-time Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients across diverse healthcare settings. Your primary objective will be to dispense prescription medications accurately while providing expert guidance on drug interactions, side effects, and proper usage to both patients and healthcare professionals. Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PHARMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid and active pharmacist license to practice in Virginia.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations.
- Experience with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent communication skills to effectively counsel patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in immunization delivery or other relevant pharmacy certifications.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as community pharmacies.
- Familiarity with 340b Pharmacy Programs
- Proficiency in additional languages to support diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients and verify the appropriateness of prescribed therapies.
- Provide detailed counseling to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements.

- Stay current with new medications, pharmaceutical research, and changes in pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Participate in health promotion and disease prevention programs by educating patients and the community.
