Job Summary:
To perform tasks necessary to efficiently control the operation of slitting equipement from raw material input to finished product.
Must be willing to work night shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:45PM to 7AM.
Job Duties:
- Able to run various slitting machines to cover time off situations in order to keep production output needed
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse
- Maintains a safe working environment by following environments by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents
- Maintains company's quality standards
- Responsible for training employees
- Supports plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders
- Communicates with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
- Directs/instructs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
- Maintains time and production records
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three years of experience preferred
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Ability to multi task and read production tickets
- Ability to perform math calculations including fractions
- Must be able to read tape measure, including micrometer
- Must be computer literate
- Ability to maintain production standards
- Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of time
