Manufacturing Supervisor
Pay Rate: $40.00–$45.00/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 6:50 PM–7:00 AM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred — bilingual proficiency is a plus and considered an asset
Position Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor who will assist the Manufacturing Manager with the comprehensive day-to-day activities of the production area. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of hourly associates and ensuring safety, productivity, quality, and cleanliness in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with the candidate's experience level.
Essential Job Functions
Production & Productivity
- Manage human and material resources to meet production goals.
- Ensure productivity expectations are met.
- Prepare and maintain accurate production reports.
- Monitor staffing levels and headcounts to support optimal production output.
- Lead FAs for repetitive failures and production misses.
- Monitor production activities and communicate issues to the Manufacturing Manager.
Safety & Cleanliness
- Manage the safety and cleanliness of the production area.
- Delegate cleaning responsibilities to hourly associates.
- Ensure all employees within the area of responsibility are properly wearing required PPE.
- Coach employees regarding unsafe behaviors and reinforce safety expectations.
- Promote a safe and compliant work environment.
Quality
- Monitor production lines to ensure products are manufactured according to customer specifications.
- Coach production workers on food-safe production practices.
- Ensure employees follow GMPs and established quality procedures.
- Identify and address quality issues in a timely manner.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic understanding of manufacturing terminology and tools.
- Basic knowledge of production, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is preferred and considered a plus to support a diverse workforce.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain on your feet for 10–12 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and climb while performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in both hot and cold environments.
- Ability to properly wear required PPE for the entire shift.
- Ability to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts.
