Position Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor who will assist the Manufacturing Manager with the comprehensive day-to-day activities of the production area. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of hourly associates and ensuring safety, productivity, quality, and cleanliness in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.

Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with the candidate's experience level.

Essential Job Functions

Production & Productivity

  • Manage human and material resources to meet production goals.
  • Ensure productivity expectations are met.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production reports.
  • Monitor staffing levels and headcounts to support optimal production output.
  • Lead FAs for repetitive failures and production misses.
  • Monitor production activities and communicate issues to the Manufacturing Manager.

Safety & Cleanliness

  • Manage the safety and cleanliness of the production area.
  • Delegate cleaning responsibilities to hourly associates.
  • Ensure all employees within the area of responsibility are properly wearing required PPE.
  • Coach employees regarding unsafe behaviors and reinforce safety expectations.
  • Promote a safe and compliant work environment.

Quality

  • Monitor production lines to ensure products are manufactured according to customer specifications.
  • Coach production workers on food-safe production practices.
  • Ensure employees follow GMPs and established quality procedures.
  • Identify and address quality issues in a timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing terminology and tools.
  • Basic knowledge of production, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is preferred and considered a plus to support a diverse workforce.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain on your feet for 10–12 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and climb while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in both hot and cold environments.
  • Ability to properly wear required PPE for the entire shift.
  • Ability to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts.
