The practice of radiography is performed by radiologic technologists responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to humans of all ages (newborn to geriatric) for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.Â

Demonstrates the ability to evaluate an exam or procedure that would meet all quality assurance standards.Â
Demonstrates the ability to provide clear and precise documentation is essential for continuity of care, accuracy of care, and quality assurance.Â
Demonstrates the ability to promote a positive and collaborative practice atmosphere with other healthcare team members.Â
Expected to participate in professional organizations and scholarly activities such as research, scientific investigation, presentation, and publication to advance the profession.
Advanced Competencies:
Demonstrates the ability to perform procedures involving equipment utilized in the OR, including but not limited to C-arm, O-arm, Ziehm, and other mobile imaging equipment.
Knowledge and Competency:
Novice-level experience. Competent in routine studies. Â
Working knowledge of technical standards, the scope of practice, department and health system policies, safety, and service standards.Â
Working knowledge of imaging equipment, image processing software, instrumentation, and ancillary patient care equipment
Education, Certification & Experience:
The position requires certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or must obtain within the first 90 days of hire.Â
