Typical Responsibilities
Equipment Operation: Safely operating cranes to lift, move, position, and relocate heavy loads within a manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environment.
Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to all safety protocols, including OSHA standards, site-specific safety policies, and rigging/signaling procedures.
Pre-Shift Inspections: Performing daily inspections of crane equipment, hoists, cables, and rigging gear to ensure everything is in proper working order before beginning operations.
Communication: Coordinating effectively with riggers, spotters, and ground personnel using standardized hand signals or radio communication.
Maintenance: Reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to supervisors or the maintenance department immediately.
