Forklift Operator I

Description

The Forklift Operator will ensure the safe and efficient operation of sit-down forklift equipment to move, load, and unload shipments of various sizes while maintaining a fast-paced, team-oriented, and safety-driven environment.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Pick and prepare material for shipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to load counts.
• Verify load accuracy, inspect for product damage, and report discrepancies as necessary.
• Manually stack 55-pound bags following customer instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhere to all work instructions, safety procedures, and workplace policies.
• Comply with OSHA and SDS standards.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any issues immediately.
• Perform LP tank changes as needed, monitoring power sources for equipment.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and participate in physical inventory counts.
• Communicate concerns or issues promptly to warehouse leads or management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 55 pounds and working at heights or in small spaces.

Special Position Requirements

• Must be willing to work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
