SENIOR MANAGER, INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING
RINCON, GA
The Senior Manager of Industrial Engineering leads the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of distribution center processes to drive productivity, cost efficiency, safety, and service excellence. This role partners closely with Operations, IT, and Finance to improve workflows, implement best-in-class industrial engineering practices, develop labor standards and support strategic growth initiatives across the distribution center.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Excellence & Process Optimization
- Lead the analysis and optimization of end-to-end distribution center processes including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and returns
- Develop and maintain engineered labor standards using time studies, work measurement, and data analytics
- Identify productivity improvement opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Drive layout optimization, slotting strategies, and material flow improvements to support volume growth and peak operations
- Establish priorities, workload planning, and performance goals for the ops team
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Partner with Safety and HR to ensure engineered standards support safe, compliant, and sustainable work practices
Technology & Systems
- Partner with IT and Operations to support WMS, LMS, automation, and labor management system initiatives
- Provide IE leadership for automation projects, capital investments, and new technology implementations
- Leverage data, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor performance and inform leadership decisions
Performance Management
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, labor cost, utilization, and service levels
- Ensure labor standards and processes remain accurate, current, and aligned with business needs
- Support peak planning, staffing models, and operational readiness
Project Management
- Lead the overall planning, scheduling, and execution of complex industrial engineering projects from conception to closure.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
- Conduct cost analysis, prepare proposals for capital equipment justification (ROI analysis), and monitor project financials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5+ years of industrial engineering experience in a distribution center, fulfillment, or manufacturing environment
- Strong expertise in labor standards, time studies, work measurement, and process improvement
- Proven ability to lead large-scale operational improvement initiatives

COMPENSATION:
- $100- 125k per year. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills.
