We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce high-precision metal components. The ideal candidate has strong machining knowledge, can work independently, and consistently meets quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mill machines to produce precision metal parts
- Load and adjust programs; make offsets and tool changes as required
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Select tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds appropriate for materials and tolerances
- Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision tools
- Maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues during production
- Perform routine maintenance and keep machines and work areas clean
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
- Work closely with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to meet deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC mills in a metal manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of CNC machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Experience machining metals such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CNC setup experience (tooling, offsets, first-article inspection)
- Basic CNC programming or editing experience (G-code)
- Experience with multi-axis or live tooling lathes
- Technical certification or vocational training in machining
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed inspection
