Teems Fabrication Inc. is growing and needs help!!  We are searching for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator!  

 

A skilled CNC Press Break Operator is needed for the steel manufacturing team. The role includes setting up and operating CNC press brakes to bend and shape metal components according to specifications, ensuring quality and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation and Setup: Set up and operate CNC press brakes, select tooling, and program or edit controls for accurate bending. Optimize processes for efficiency.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read blueprints and drawings to determine measurements and bending sequences.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products using tools like calipers and gauges to ensure they meet specifications and are free of defects.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning. Identify and resolve minor issues or report them for repair.
  • Safety and Environment: Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean work area, and use appropriate PPE. Follow safety regulations.
  • Material Management: Prepare raw materials for production and examine them for defects.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain production records and communicate with supervisors and colleagues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating CNC press brakes, interpreting blueprints, and strong math skills are essential. Knowledge of metals is beneficial.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and a meticulous approach to quality control are required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects safely.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve minor issues.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to a safe work environment.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Effective communication and ability to collaborate with others.

Experience and Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous press brake operation experience in manufacturing is necessary. Experience with CNC press brakes and programming is preferred.
  • Vocational training or certification in metal fabrication is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Typically an industrial setting with potential for noise and physically demanding tasks. Shift work may be required.

Physical Demands:
