Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently operate and adjust packaging and manufacturing machinery, ensuring equipment and molding machines are prepared and ready for startup at the beginning of each shift.
  • Monitor and maintain machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation, including sprayers, blankets, plates, printers, conveyors, and related production equipment.
  • Understand printer, labeler, and HP sensor functions and perform routine adjustments or troubleshooting as needed to maintain operational performance.
  • Clear jams and resolve minor operational issues involving printers, hot presses, incline conveyors, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Respond promptly to molding machine alarms and take immediate action to address missing product conditions.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and maintain accurate production records, including product weight specifications and press and printer settings, where applicable.
  • Proactively identify potential machine or equipment issues that could result in downtime, product defects, or material scrap, and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Transfer products between machines and workstations throughout the manufacturing process while maintaining product quality and workflow efficiency.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety policies, procedures, and required training.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area, including workstations, tables, and surrounding production spaces.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Support production goals by meeting quality, productivity, and attendance expectations.
