Summary:
Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Gastrointestinal (GI) Lab team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures, working closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a safe and exceptional patient experience.This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys procedural nursing, patient education, and collaboration in a fast-paced outpatient and inpatient procedural environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after GI procedures.
- Prepare patients for endoscopic and gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring informed consent and patient understanding.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and during recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, preparation, recovery, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Support infection prevention, patient safety, and quality initiatives.
- Ensure equipment, supplies, and procedural rooms are properly prepared and maintained.
Qualifications:
Associates - Nursing
Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.
