Who you are: 

Friendly. Curious. Passionate about electronics. Great with tools. Ready to go the extra mile. As an A/V Technician, you will be responsible for installing and configuring audio visual equipment in homes and commercial settings. Your technical expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our clients enjoy a seamless and immersive audiovisual experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and configure audiovisual equipment, including but not limited to, televisions, projectors, sound systems, and smart home automation systems.

Perform cable management, routing, and concealment for a clean and professional appearance.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with A/V systems.

Collaborate with clients to understand their specific installation needs and provide personalized solutions.

Train clients on the proper use and maintenance of their audiovisual systems.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
 

Qualifications:

Professional experience installing home A/V products

Eagerness to build technical knowledge and a willingness to put in the effort to develop news skills

Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills

Ability to follow instructions clearly and work well as part of a team

Ability to identify problems and find ways to resolve challenges

Ability to use computer and necessary software

Ability to use hand tools

Ability to lift up to 75lbs

Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

CEDIA, AVIXA, Control 4 and Crestron certifications are a plus.

Schedule:

Hours are generally Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM. Occasional overtime and weekend work is required.

Salary and Advancement:

We offer a structured career path with opportunities to progress from Installer Level 1 through Installer Level 3, with additional advancement opportunities to a Residential System Technician role. As installers gain experience, strengthen their skills, and demonstrate their capabilities, they have opportunities to advance through each level of the career path. Starting level and pay are based on prior installation experience, skills, and qualifications, with compensation ranging from $18.00 to $23.75 per hour plus monthly incentives. 

In addition to hourly wages, installers participate in a monthly incentive program and earn a portion of the labor dollars generated from the installs they perform. This performance-based compensation rewards productivity and quality workmanship. Experienced installers typically earn $39,000 to $50,000 per year, with uncapped incentives that allow top performers to exceed $50,000 annually.
