JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Security Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our company's security operations. This role is responsible for developing and implementing effective security strategies, conducting risk assessments, and leading crisis management efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership abilities, keen attention to detail, and a proven track record in security management to ensure a safe, secure environment for employees, customers, and company assets. This position requires sound judgment under pressure and the ability to proactively identify and address potential security risks before they escalate.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

•    Minimum of 2 years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or military roles.

•    Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field

•    Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies

•    Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies

•    Crisis management and problem-solving skills

•    Adaptability and flexibility in responding to security incidents and emergencies

•    Proficiency in security management software, surveillance systems, and Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Hospitality experience, particularly within a 5-star resort or similar luxury environment

•    Understanding of the importance of a service-oriented culture and its role in a security team's approach within a hospitality/resort setting


FUNDAMENTAL REQUIREMENTS


•    Develop, implement, and manage security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect company assets, employees, and customers

•    Conduct risk assessments, threat analyses, and security audits to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and maintain physical security measures such as access controls, surveillance, and alarm systems

•    Monitor security operations, including patrols, inspections, and incident response, and respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, breaches, and emergencies following established protocols

•    Coordinate with external security agencies, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities to address incidents, emergencies, and investigations

•    Train and educate employees on security protocols, emergency procedures, and crisis management to build security awareness and preparedness

•    Manage security personnel, contractors, and vendors, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback

•    Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and corrective actions taken

•    Stay current on security trends, technologies, and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to security programs and systems

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


•    Ability to stand, walk, and patrol the property for extended periods, including stairs

•    Ability to respond quickly to incidents throughout the property

•    Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-50 lbs

•    Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and remain alert during overnight shifts

•    Ability to withstand exposure to outdoor weather conditions when patrolling exterior grounds, parking areas, or pool areas
