Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Corporate Accounting, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance organization. This position is responsible for general accounting close responsibilities related to the production of monthly financial statements. Other responsibilities include assisting with the external audit schedules and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting and financial close experience, sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is a hybrid with the expectations 2–3 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries for the accounting close process.  
  • Prepare various audit schedules, pull supporting documents, and help answer questions as requested by external auditors during their field audit work.  
  • Provide assistance with new system conversions and enhancements 
  • Support various accounting projects as assigned, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.  
  • Perform reconciliations of the company’s various balance sheet accounts of the general ledger to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the monthly closing.  
  • Perform day-to-day accounting tasks such as cash reconciliations and vendor invoice coding. 
  • Assist in the coordination and preparation of revenue and expense summary schedules. 

Qualifications

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • At least three years of professional accounting work experience. 
  • Knowledge of SAP or SAP S/4HANA is preferred
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online. 
  • Experience in public accounting or with a SEC-reporting company. 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of PC-based applications, especially Microsoft Excel and Word. 
  • Accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to independently plan, prioritize, and carry out simultaneous projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization through verbal and written communication. 
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP. 
  • Experience supporting an ERP system conversion or upgrade (e.g., migrating to or upgrading SAP S/4HANA).

Travel:

  • Up to 10% travel required, domestic only.
