About Us:
Croydon Pet Hospital is a busy and compassionate animal hospital in Glen Burnie, MD, committed to providing high-quality medical care for pets. Our team is dedicated to supporting the bond between pets and their families by delivering exceptional veterinary care. We are currently looking for a Veterinary Assistant with at least one year of experience to join our team and grow with us.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians with medical and surgical procedures, including patient preparation and monitoring
  • Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations under veterinarian guidance
  • Perform diagnostic tests, including blood draws, urinalysis, radiographs, and other lab work
  • Provide compassionate and effective care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering fluids
  • Communicate with clients regarding patient care, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of treatments and procedures
  • Assist in the cleanliness and upkeep of the hospital, including sterilization of instruments and equipment
Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant Required
  • Proficiency in performing basic technical skills (blood draws, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, etc.)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine passion for animal care and client service
