This position is located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
Job Overview
The ICS Network Engineer Level II is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining network devices, systems and applications within the ICS environment. With limited guidance from senior team members, this Engineer will be capable of working through a wide variety of tasks, from software installation/configuration to troubleshooting network and application issues. They will also provide end user assistance with applications and accounts for a variety of services within the ICS network. Incumbent must be self- motivated, and actively engaged in ensuring the reliability and functionality of the ICS system.
Pay Range: $127,700 - $137,700
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
- Investigate and plan new deployments for various ICS related assets (cameras, workstations, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose application issues in Windows 10/11, Windows Server and Linux environments, and escalate if needed.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose network communication issues and perform corrections as needed.
- Perform routine application and database maintenance.
- Racking and cabling networking equipment.
- Support the stability and integrity of the ICS environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on assets as required.
- Record and update documentation for assets in the ICS environment.
- Assist end users with application use and installation/configuration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of equivalent experience or Associate’s degree in a related field with at least 5 years of equivalent experience or in lieu of a degree at least 8 years of equivalent related experience.
- At least 1 DoD approved IAT Level II certification
- Documented experience across multiple aspects of the IT environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain good working relations.
- Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely solutions.
- U. S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance.
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-hire background and drug screen.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Demonstrated experience in SCADA and Industrial Controls environments.
- Experience with troubleshooting industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP, Ion).
- Experience with Microsoft SQL installations.
- Experience with POE cameras and recording systems.
- Experience with Endpoint Management applications (System Center Configuration Manager).
- Experience with Solarwinds.
- Experience with creating and deploying group policies.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to team lift up to 50lbs.
