Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time maintenance person to join our team. This role is ideal for retirees or individuals with a strong background in maintenance across various areas. The canididate should have a good understanding of a gym, to ensure a safe environment for our members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct general facility maintenance, including plumbing, electrical work and carpentry task as needed. Some small areas of gym equipment.
- Inspect the premises regularly to identify areas requiring attention or repair.
- Address maintenance request request from the Director of Operations.
- Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies; some tools will be provided.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met in all areas of the gym including maintenance room and tool room.
- Assist in setting up and taking down equipment for special events or classes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of gym equipment and facilities is a plus.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work with diverse range of individuals.
- Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks and lift heavy objects as needed. .
