Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. This role plays an important part in supporting resident well-being, infection prevention, and overall facility cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all public and common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors
  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms and bathrooms
  • Ensure handrails are clean and free of debris
  • Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
  • Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize assigned areas
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the use of caution signage and proper chemical storage
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies safely and effectively
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas in a clean, organized, and sanitary manner
  • Report resident safety concerns promptly to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing
  • Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors
  • Work independently and collaboratively to maintain facility cleanliness standards

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Long-term care or healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus
