OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that supports Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

OCT currently has an opening for a SharePoint Developer / Enterprise Architect to work with our federal client. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Assess business needs for migrating and reengineering existing SharePoint solutions and applications into designated environments.
  • Provide enterprise/system architecture guidance on IT solutions, data management, business alignment, and strategy.
  • Integrate shared microservices as part of modernization initiatives.
  • Create prototypes or samples for user review as part of modernization planning.
  • Develop and enhance data architecture strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps aligned with federal policies.
  • Provide guidelines for architecture and cloud usage and implement architecture governance.
  • Include long-term architecture and cloud solutions when meeting business needs.
  • Advance new ideas and evaluate object/data models to improve data access and management.
  • Evaluate computing environments related to data architecture and cloud solutions and produce technical reports.
  • Provide SharePoint solutions to meet program requirements.
  • Submit bi-weekly performance reports detailing tasks, issues, solutions, and dates.
  • Provide architecture design, configuration, administration, and functional support to enhance Microsoft 365 capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage the Microsoft Power Platform for business process improvement.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, and IT modernization within a federal government environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SharePoint development, migration, and support, including SharePoint Site Collection Administrator and/or SharePoint Administrator roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform suite with Azure integrations, including PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dynamics, Microsoft Teams, custom development, and data integrations.
  • Experience with managed environment configuration, security, integration, and deployment.
  • Experience developing and enhancing data architecture strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps aligned with federal policies.
  • Knowledge of Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) and IT administration.
  • Experience with development of custom components and connectors for Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge of federal IT compliance requirements including NIST, FISMA, and Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, SharePoint certification, or equivalent.
  • Clearance: Sensitive / High Risk Position – Tier 4 / Public Trust Level 6 or higher required. The investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check. HSPD-12/PIV card required.
  • Location: Primarily remote/offsite Occasional onsite work in Hyattsville, MD or Atlanta, GA may be required.

Salary Range: $120,000 – $130,000 yearly commensurate with experience, education, etc.
