Provides comprehensive speech-language pathology services to patients in hospital and participates in the total plan of care as part of the health care team or director by departmental supervisor.
Job Responsibility
1.Hospital:Â
•Perform standardized patient testing and treatment on each patient as appropriates.Â
•Perform videofluoroscopic swallowing studies (optional)Â
•Patient education.Â
•Multidisciplinary care plan.Â
•Education for nursing staff and PCTs.Â
•Comply with updated forms and policies.Â

Job Qualification
Â
•Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology, required.Â
•Currently licensed in Speech Pathology in the State of New York.Â
•Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, required.Â
•Eligibility for certification in Speech Pathology by American Speech and Hearing Association.
