Compensation: $20–$24/hour based on experience and skillset + $3/hour overnight shift differential from 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
East End Veterinary Center (EEVC) is hiring a full-time Veterinary Receptionist in Riverhead, NY. In this role, you’ll support our emergency and specialty teams while helping clients and referring veterinarians navigate their experience with compassion, clear communication, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
Welcome clients and provide compassionate, professional support in person and over the phone
Educate clients and referring veterinarians about available emergency and specialty services
Coordinate and schedule appointments within our multi-specialty animal hospital
Handle reminder and follow-up communications by phone and email
Accurately update and maintain client and patient records and files
Communicate effectively with clients, referring veterinarians, and hospital team members
Support the needs of our emergency and specialty departments in a fast-paced environment
Help create a positive client experience during both routine and emotionally challenging situations
Qualifications
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to create a welcoming, professional first impression for clients and referring veterinary partners
Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary hospital environment
Strong multitasking, organization, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to adapt when priorities change or unexpected situations arise
Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a commitment to respectful communication
Previous customer service experience preferred
Ability to communicate compassionately with pet owners, including during stressful or emotional situations
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
