Summary
Provost & Pritchard is looking for an Associate or Senior Civil Engineer to help support and grow our Riverside office. This role provides the opportunity to work on meaningful water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure projects that support communities and public agencies across the region.
We are seeking an engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys building strong client relationships, and brings a solutions-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting projects from feasibility and planning through design and construction, while working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results.
Candidates must show an understanding of and a desire to grow in knowledge of municipal engineering and be able to apply their knowledge in a practical manner. We work with clients ranging from large cities and public agencies, to small water systems. Serious candidates must have experience in one or more of the following areas (multiple areas a plus):
- Feasibility Studies, including UWMP’s
- New/Replacement Water Infrastructure
- Project Planning and Design
- Stormwater infrastructure
- Wastewater collection and treatment
- Recycled water planning and design
- Project Funding Assistance Applications
- Water System Consolidation Projects
- Water Treatment
- Grading and earthwork
- Storage tanks and pumping systems
- Groundwater recharge facilities
Qualifications
For Associate level candidates:
- Must hold an active California PE license or licensed in another state and be willing to sit for CA license within 6 months of hire
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with emphasis on fluid mechanics, water treatment/supply, hydraulic machines, soil mechanics, or related courses of study
- 5 years of experience working on engineering studies, investigations, and designs for municipal water/wastewater/recycled water/stormwater infrastructure, delivering positive results for clients.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
For Senior level candidates:
- Must hold an active California PE license or licensed in another state and be willing to sit for CA license within 6 months of hire
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with emphasis on fluid mechanics, water treatment/supply, hydraulic machines, soil mechanics, or related courses of study
- 10 years of experience working on engineering studies, investigations, and designs for municipal water/wastewater/recycled water/stormwater infrastructure, delivering positive results for clients.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects
- Have a general understanding of infrastructure construction techniques
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
