Position Summary
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our facility. This position helps ensure a comfortable and sanitary environment where our residents can thrive and feel at home.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility, including resident areas, common spaces, and grounds.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, and fixtures.
- Replenish restroom and housekeeping supplies as needed.
- Remove trash and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Operate and maintain housekeeping and janitorial equipment safely and effectively.
- Report maintenance concerns, repairs, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
- Perform other housekeeping-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior housekeeping, janitorial, environmental services, or healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
