This position is responsible for financial and operational performance, customer satisfaction, and staff development, as related to the parts business. As a member of the Marlen Lifecycle Services leadership team, the Parts Manager shares in the responsibility for achieving overall financial and operational growth objectives.   Candidates for this position are expected to be conversant with methods and practices of employee supervision, and project and task management.  In addition, they are expected to be generally familiar with the technologies used in the various systems sold by the company, and their appropriate applications. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides commercial leadership for all of Marlen’s (aftermarket) parts activities. Functions as a member of Marlen’s Lifecycle Services leadership team. Is responsible and continuously looks for methods to grow revenue, increase margin levels and optimize customer satisfaction, while maintaining operational expenses and profitability consistent with budgets. Is responsible for Marlen International’s parts business forecasting. Actively influences other departments to perform their duties in such a way to decrease overall warranty exposure. Conducts market analysis to identify parts opportunities and be responsive to customer needs and related market opportunities. Directs and coordinates promotion of products to increase share of market and obtain competitive position in industry. Develops and maintains cross functional relationships with materials manufacturing, shipping, engineering, marketing, sales, internal and external customers, analysts, and senior management teams to execute the strategy. Establishes and manages strong working relationships across Duravant’s Operating Companies to develop, implement, and share best practices. Manage the operational performance of Marlen's parts organization from quoting, order entry phase through shipment. Coach and develop the highest level of professionalism within the team, making it easy for our customers to do business with us. Continuously develop both the technical and customer service skills of individual team members. Drive organizational excellence by creating and implementing best practices and developing the corresponding policies and procedures. Maximize CRM, ERP, and other software tools to streamline all operational processes. Partner with Marketing to develop marketing initiatives. Maintain and/or develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and lead activities for the measurement, analysis and reporting of Marlen's parts business financial and operational performance. Execute frequent parts pricing analysis to maintain appropriate pricing structure and provide timely customer communication relating to pricing updates.
